What You Can Do?

We have received numerous calls about where to send cards, gifts, etc. One thing is for certain, Dennis does not want flowers or fruit baskets! After talking with Dennis, we have created a recovery fund to help offset the many costs that will not be covered by insurance and to help offset the travel expenses for his daughters.

If you would like to make a donation to the fund here is the information:

Checks made out to: Faith Duncan (his wife)
Send to: Dennis Neill Donation Account
Alaska USA Bank
2417 Tongass Ave; Suite A
Ketchikan, AK 99901

You can also make a cash deposit at any Alaska USA Branch

For those who want to send cards and well wishes (don't send them to the bank address above), you can send them directly to him at:

Dennis Neill
P.O. Box 23383
Ketchikan, AK 99901

Dennis,
Great to read on the blog that the surgery went well and there are no complications. Don't you just love the medical community? No complications from the surgery. I know, I know...but it seems that having something the size of an egg growing in your gourd was sufficiently complicating things already... Oh well, between professional and amateur caregivers, you are in good, no, the best hands. Their advice and love will help you climb out of this hole. It sounds like that process begins today...so get going! I was going to recount a funny story from the old days...like how we assisted Scott Fitz in his act of ledgerdemain to convince the Forest Service to hire him. Some poor guy named Puchlerz. Yikes! Now that Scott's a line officer and the rest of us are old retired farts, it's funny enough without the telling. Even funnier when you consider the subsequent ripple effect into pools we have all, uh, visited. Well, you should be chuckling and most everyone else wondering... Cast your blinding effulgence in the direction of all you encounter today and I'll have more soon. Take care, my good friend...

Dennis, Faith & family,
I'm so happy to hear the surgery went well! All the positive mojo being sent your way must be working!
I'll keep sending the positive energy your way.

Wow! what a early morning way to start your Monday, this must rank up there in the top three reasons for getting up early -- the tide is right for fishing and getting in position for the hunt! As much as I love gardening, even it is a good thing to do in the afternoon.Good to hear medical science and the medical staff are working well on your behalf. Thanks for the info on how to cheer you up. I have been saving some cards of cheer for someone special -- hope they bring you laughter and hope.
