Not much to report at this time. Dennis is with his wife Faith and his daughters for the weekend. I can post what you all have been waiting for....before and after the haircut!
For those who have commented, Dennis is not entertaining any hair coloring at this time...

Lookin' good brother!
Isaac and I are ready to do some fishin' soon down Ketchikan way!
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught!
Sending prayers, positive thoughts your way from Interior Alaska...Kent, Linda and Isaac.
Well now, if that does not grow back I can donate a skin graph from some part of my anatomy that will have more hair on it...if you got the skin graph just right you could even have a part.....
Karen and my thoughts are with you brother....if you need anyting just ask...anything!
Dennis,
The photos are wonderful! With my keen, editor's eye, I detect that your daughters are beautiful in both before and after shots, and you my friend are not -- neither hirsute nor buzzed. But, you are a long-lasting old bastard, and I count on that trait to characterize you both before and after surgery on Monday. We have old whiskey to drink, fine cigars to smoke, and great stories to remember...I plan on sharing all those with you. I hope you weekend in Seattle is enjoyable. I'm sure you can find some interesting people and points of view to challenge or excoriate in that fine city. Something tells me that just being there, surrounded by psycho-babble and psuedo-liberals, gets your engine revving! Starbucks notwithstanding. Have a chuckle or two at some of our old misbehaviors and take good care of yourself. I'll shoot you something tomorrow.

Well, look at all that hair gone!!!! I was so glad and relieved to talk to you all Friday. Let's hope that Irish drinking telepathy keeps working, because I think of you constantly.
I will keep our family updated and send out the link to your blog site. Thanks, Scott! They'll be very happy to keep up this way. If you get bored, (HA!) check out my blogs and read some old posts... ;)
Love you all,
Lyndell
Wow, bet your daughters haven't seen you with such a short haircut ever! I well remember when Neil shaved his beard after 20 years, in Sheridan, Wyoming on our way back to Alaska in 1995. At first glance, without the beard, he reminded me of Jim Belushi in Blues Brothers! It is wonderful to have family with you when living through tough times in life. Stay focused on the love and joy in your life and the adventures to come. Your remain in my prayers for strength and peace with complete healing.
Dennis,
Waders here from the 'fire.
Just wanted to let you know that we're pulling for you down in Centralia (about 85 miles south of Seattle). We'll remember you in family prayers tonight. My little girls are skinny wimpy things in this world, but in the spiritual realm they are mighty giants, 12 foot tall warriors of prayer. We'll pray God's blessings on you and your surgeons.
I don't know what I can do, but if you think of something, give me a call: 360-880-2399.
Heck Dennis you still have more hair than me even with your head shaved!! Floated the Bighole yesterday with Dave Schmid. Caught a few fish, drank a few beers and told many a Tongass and Dennis Neill tale. Take care Buddy will get back with you soon. TOM
hey dennis - not bad... have never seen you without you mane....tell heather and erin they look great and that i hope to catch fish (or at least fish) with them on your boat again when all of this is behind you. in fact a trip with you at the helm and faith, erin, heather and i with lines in the ocean sounds darn good right now.....good luck on monday ....we will be thinking positive thoughts about the inconvenience you will be subjected to
olleke and orville
Hey Dennis! I like your new 'do.' Please don't take Baichtal's recommendation for a skin graft!!!! You still need to come visit us here in MT. Lee found a set of elk antler sheds you have to see to believe. So guess where he's headed this fall. Take care my friend. Lee and my thoughts are with you.
Love, Kathy and Lee
OK, Love the doo. I am inspired. Going for the same look come tomorrow Brother.
Dennis- I was thinking about you together with your family in Seattle while I took my daughter and new son-in-law out fishing kings early Saturday morning. I recall your reaction when I'd inquired about inviting my son along on our Kotzebue caribou hunt - You said that when you get an opportunity to go hunting (or fishing) with your kids, you take it, no question. Good advice. What I also remember from that trip was your refusal of help and insistence that you finish packing out half a caribou late one evening, one slow careful step after another as we walked beside you down the hill back to camp, lighting the way with our headlamps. You are one tough, bull-headed s.o.b. (and I mean that in the best way!). Pete
I guess the hairdo has been commented up so I will just wish you the best tomorrow and look forward to good news later in the day. Best to you and the family. Norman
Howdy Dennis!
It's just hair - it will grow back! Am thinking of you, sending positive vibes your way come tomorrow morning, and like many many others, will be standing by for the next update. See ya soon. Becky
Hey Dennis, The new cut looks sharp!
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
Hope the docs are experienced, and have steady hands.
Good luck!
-Gwen

Hello Dennis & Faith - Hope you're enjoying the dry Seattle weather. Good luck tomorrow! My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm sure you'll turn this setback into a positive! Randy F.
Hi Dennis and Faith and girls. Dennis, you should be about half way through your procedure now if all is on schedule, and I am hoping it is. I've been thinking of you all weekend and morning, and am especially reminded by the holiday haikus that greet me on the fridge door. I am inspired.
Clippers move smoothly
Army induction haircut emerges
Five pounds of beard hair remain.
I challenge all followers to bring forth their creative contribution!
I am looking forward to talking to you once this overpriced Seattle vacation is over. Take care, my friend, and be a good patient!
Love, Patty
